Longan Road RV Park right next door to the Chinook Winds Casino and Convention Center, OR. Great location and what all casinos need to do develop RV parks. These people have it right a good location and good planning. Prices change so we won't give you a space rate now...1-877-564-2678

Now back to the casino... Lots of slots and new ones as well, the Alien and Star Wars. Mary likes the Train slot and that is also here for her enjoyment. Penny up to Dollar slots are available as well as high stake slots. Table games include single deck blackjack for you card counters as well as craps, Pai-Gow, poker, roulette and three card poker. Lots of games and a very clean fresh casino. The staff is friendly and ready to help in any way. Four good places to eat the best being, The Rogue River Room. This fine dining has a beautiful view and wounderful food list for your taste buds. Two other good restaurant of course the buffet this is just a step away from the Rogue River Room and of course the lounge which has good food and wide screen TV. All of these restaurants have a great view of the Pacific Ocean. Yep! We like this place, let us know what you think. We can't give this place a perfect score but it should be 4.5 overall.

OUR COMMENTS:
WOW! Yes! and a place with RV facilities! We are happy to report on this facility but sad to say the PRICE is sky high. We believe that the casino should makes its money at the gaming not at the RV camp. Thiry eight dollars ($38.00) a night is nuts. Oh well!
The casino is a good size casino with over 300 slots and table games. One problem is the hours, it has limited hours both in summer and winter starting at 10am and closing at 2am also the table games have limited hours that make playing a problem. Dining at the Juniper Room looks good although we did not eat there. Also, eating at the Chinook Room with more casual dining looks good. We find this a limited attraction casino for RVer's at this time one because of the price for RV's and because of the limited hours. The location is difficult in relationship to major highways, but if you golf and enjoy the high desert it would be a great stop. Sorry, it is a beautiful location but you must review your interest before you make the drive. We will visit in July of 08 again and let you know our thoughts.

OUR COMMENTS:
LETS START WITH A G R E A T R V P A R K!!!!
The RV park price is a little high, well, it went up $3.00 from last year and maybe they will lower it to keep RVer's returning. This may change when they understand that RVer's want a better price or they will stay down the street and there are many places in the area or within 5 miles..... BUT HAVING SAID THAT THE PARK IS WONDERFUL/ BEAUTIFUL/ OUTSTANDING SO S T O P AT LEAST ONCE UNTIL THE PRICES CHANGE A LITTLE! This trip we will stay 3 days at least. A good measure of the price showing high is the number of RVer's staying in the dry area and last night there were only 5 and in the truck parking there was two.
This is another VERY GOOD casino in the great State of Oregan. Maybe the B E S T O N E
Lots of slots and video poker machines. Mary found this casino great, well your right, she won a few bucks. Also a nation wide progressive slot machines can be found here. Table games include Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Let It Ride, Three Card Poker and Four Card Poker. Las Vegas type casino... NOT BAD for a 1,000 member tribe! Oh, I almost forgot the dining. (A spcial note... we had a small problem in the beautiful fine dining Camas Room which was correct and artfully handled by Lee and the manager Ms. Barnes) You can count on one hand such great treatment, in all the 500 Indian Casinos in the United States. There are 3 good places to eat inside the casino all with good meals. Daily Specials make the dining even better.
Also and ice cream parlor for your sweet tooth, NO NOT THIS YEAR IT WAS CLOSED but will reopen soon.

YES AN RV PARK....is great but One little problem is the transportation to the casino.... It takes about 7 minutes to travel in the bus to and from the casino, but it takes about 10 minutes for the bus to arrive from its many stops. Mary likes the RV park next door casino but she was good with this situation as the gaming was great. Because, "we have Nothing to do and all day to do it", we don't mind a little wait.
Make this a stop when driving up and down on Interstate Highway 5....
I hope to have a little time with the Marketing Director to see what is next in the life of the great casino Ms.Sheri Roberts or Dani Fedder and it was my pleasure to meet with Dani. The future plans for the casino are two many to note but you will be sorry if you do not stop aand see the monthly progress. We have NO higher rating than this casino received and we look forward to a long relationship with casino as we visit from time to time in the future.

Still NO RV CAMPING........... But we are sure the Marketing Director James Baxman would have told us about future plans for camping and we are looking forward to our next visit. He was very busy and I just drop in and never set an appointment with these guys. If you visit first before we do, give us a review and update....July 08 was our most recent visit.
Don't get this mixed up with the Spirit Mountian in AZ. What a difference nothing at the AZ casino would compare to this great Oregon casino.... other than a small RV Camping area.
We found this to have lots and lots of slots. Mary is in love. The slot games range from .01 to $100 with national progressive machines around makes this a great place for slot players. Table games cover the complete range Blackjack, Roulette, Poker, and Craps. This is a 24/7 casino and seems to have lots of guests.
Dining was good with 4 different restaurants. Prices are also good with a good selection at all meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner. A twist to one restaurant was the free entertainment offered... good job! The usual buffet was nothing special. Overall good restaurants.
NO RV facilities on grounds....
but there is one RV place in Grand Ronde called
Wandering Spirit RV Park
only 1.5 miles from casino with 24 hour daily service back and forth. Great place to stay at $22.00 per day full hook ups. Now this price is what I'm talking about. If a small operation can give this price with full hook ups including 30 or 50 amps why can't big casinos give a reasonable price........ 1-800-390-6980

YES RV CAMPING YES!
THIS IS IN ALL CAPS BECAUSE.... THE MILLS CASINO WAS ONE OF OUR MOST ENJOYABLE STOPS. AS YOU SEE FROM THE RATING AND THE BOLD LETTERS WE THINK THIS PLACE IS BIG STUFF. SPENDING A WEEK would be a great stop and a good time, MAYBE THE 4th of July. We stayed at the Mills on the 4th in 2006 and enjoyed it so much we stayed another two days. I will note however, one very serious draw back! Most casinos have a reduced rate of between $5.00 and $20.00 per night for RVer's and this was double that and on top of that there was a service charge for wireless the connection. What is this world becoming? I was told however that because this was the first season more correctly the first month of operation for the RV park that charges will be reduced in the months to come. You should beware! DON'T STOP READING HERE! Give this place a look it will be worth your time. We must make mention of the quality of food in the fine dining restaurant, it was great! When you are tired of the casino, which would be hard to think of, there is Coos Bay to see. 1-800-953-4800 ******THEY HAVE LOWER THE FEES AND HAVE FREE WI-FI NOW 08
Drop us a note with your ideas and thoughts regarding this great place, the Mills. * Just a side bar here.... 30+ RV
stayed the weekend in the parking lot NOT BECAUSE THE RV PARK WAS FULL BUT RATHER BECAUSE OF THE PRICE...WE HOPE THEY WILL ADJUST THE PRICE LOWER, & AGAIN IN 2008!

YES! RV Park... 1-541-278-2274 100 spaces with full hook ups and laundry with a pool and spa. The price is good at, $19.26 for 30amp. pull through. The park is behind the casino a little walk but a bus will pick you up every few minutes.
Now lets look at the gaming. Off Track betting... Slots by the hundreds including all the new ones. Card games of poker, blackjack. Craps, and Keno, Bingo are always a part of any good casino.
Dining not great but it will fill the need for the day. Remember tbhis is about 205 miles from Portland and if ou are heading down 84 it is a must stop....
